There is an opening for the role of Junior Associate at Egality Law. We are seeking candidates who have been called to the Ghana Bar and possess prior work experience in Corporate/Commercial work and Disputes. Proficiency in foreign languages such as French, Spanish and/or Portuguese is desirable.
Job description
• Assisting with legal research.
• Reviewing and drafting legal documents.
• Attending court hearings, other legal proceedings, and client meetings.
• Corresponding with clients, external lawyers and officials of government institutions
on behalf of the firm.
• Preparation of legal articles and other write-ups for publication.
• Supporting client meetings including managing diaries, correspondence and logistics.
• Assisting with administrative and office tasks.
• Maintaining strict confidentiality on all aspects of the firm’s work and communications.
Requirements
• A first class or upper second law degree or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Qualification to practice law in Ghana and any other country.
• High academic achievement.
• Post-qualification experience in a similar role.
• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite).
• Highest level of integrity.
• Highly organised and detail oriented.
• Good research and writing skills.
• A sense of humour and able to work well in a team.
• Excellent oral and written communication in the English Language.
• Proficiency in a foreign language
