The Young Commonwealth Lawyers, in partnership with the African Law Students’ Association (ALSA), invites members, particularly, to a Virtual Conference on the theme:
“Comparative Legal Traditions and Modern Legal Practice”
The conference will feature distinguished speakers and moderators from across the Commonwealth, addressing key contemporary legal issues as follows:
- AI and Privacy regulations across jurisdictions
- The relationship between arbitration and insolvency and different jurisdictions implications?
- Past, Present and Future of Legal Practise
- Mastering Compliance and Governance Early in practice
- Understanding Fraud in practice: A young lawyer’s guide on detection and response
- What does the public interest mean? What is the role of the State
Programme Details
Date: 13th May and 14th May 2026
Time: 5:00am to 4:50 pm BST
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in insightful discussions on contemporary legal issues affecting practice across different jurisdictions.
Registration is open to all and free of charge, irrespective of Commonwealth Lawyers Association (CLA) membership.
