A reputable law firm in Accra is looking for qualified lawyers to apply for the Managing Counsel position. The chosen candidate will oversee legal work, manage client relationships, and support the firm’s corporate and commercial practice.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provide legal guidance on complex corporate and commercial matters.
* Lead and manage transactions from start to finish while ensuring efficiency and managing risks.
* Supervise and mentor junior lawyers to maintain high-quality legal work.
* Draft, review, and negotiate important commercial agreements.
* Advise clients on regulations, corporate governance, and reducing risks.
* Manage client relationships and act as the main contact for significant engagements.
* Oversee strategies for resolving disputes, including litigation and other methods.
* Deliver legal opinions, briefs, and documents on time and at a high standard.
* Help with business development and the firm’s growth strategy.
Requirements:
* Must be called to the Ghana Bar and have at least 4 years of experience since being called.
* Have leadership experience in a corporate or commercial legal setting.
* Proven history of managing complex transactions and client portfolios.
* Experience with disputes and capable of supervising litigation strategies.
* Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
* High level of professionalism, good judgment, and discretion.
* Good interpersonal and client management skills.
Remuneration:
* GHS 6000 - GHS 7000
* Additional compensation through commission.
